Aryeh Kaplan — Sefer Yetzirah In Theory and Practice


You're not going to find a better introduction to this seminal ancient work in English than Rabbi Kaplan's translation and commentary. Those who don't already have an inclination for this kind of thing should skip it. Those who do shouldn't live without this one. It will certainly be your chief source of SY digging — not the only one, but the best one this side of sixth century commentaries in Hebrew. Or so we hear.
